Coffee & Cards Episode #4

Welcome to Coffee and Cards. This week I take a look at a routine I first thought was silly, and ended up loving: Shuffle-Bored by Simon Aronson, from Bound to Please. Technically it's from the booklet named Shuffle-Bored, but Bound to Please is the book I have that teaches it.

I do a demo of the trick live and talk about why it works and why I wanted it in the first place. Hint: it's because I wanted more tricks where the spectator isn't "picking" a card, and that plays for multiple spectators.

I also mention Matt Baker and Joshua Jay's versions of the trick, each different enough from the original to definitely be considered different tricks.

The deck of the week is Cherry Casino in blue, a Pure Imagination Projects remake.

Also, while you would think that the book I highlight for today is Bound to Please, you're only partially right. I actually dive into Asi Wind's newest book How Did You Do That?! I flip through it a bit, though I haven't started reading it quite yet.

Go grab a deck, pour a coffee, and watch Episode 4 of Coffee & Cards ☕

If you have a trick, book, or deck you think I should look at during a future episode, tell me directly in the video's comments or reach out here.
