Cymbal Playing Cards

Cymbal Playing Cards

Cymbal Playing Cards, by Dealersgrip. This is an artistic deck -- as are each of the designs by the company -- that uses abstract and digital glitch concepts to create a structured playing card.

From the tuck case itself:

RINGING BLOSSOM VIA FLESH ARENA (ANGULAR SEMANTICS)

And from the deck's original product description:

Maneuvering through ambiguous descriptions and explosive imagery, CYMBAL attempts to conceptualize card creativity and escaping the boundaries of a grid-like system.

Other than that, I don't know too much more about the deck. The specifications of the exact stock and finish were never provided by Dealersgrip so I can only go based off of feel to say that it's thin-crush stock. They do work with D&D cards, so it's possible that they utilize the D&D thin-crush stock, but I'm not certain.

If you want to see the deck overall, here's a video review I did:

The deck consists of 56 cards:

  • 52 playing cards
  • Four ad cards (no jokers)

Where to buy?

Last I checked, you should be able to pick up Cymbal Playing Cards at Black Market Decks. The last price tag I saw for this deck was set at $25.00.

This deck is created by Dealersgrip. It's beautifully printed by USPCC on thin-crushed stock with an air-cushion finish. The deck features custom pips on all cards, and two non-identical jokers. The tuck case has a matte design and is secured with a sticker seal.
