Happy Sad Playing Cards

Happy Sad Playing Cards

The Happy Sad deck by Joker and the Thief continues the theme of duality (get it, Joker and the Thief), but with a fresh approach.

Following the 597's minimalist design, Happy Sad stays away from the typical highly detailed back and face designs of the brand and features a non-metallic, but still hand illustrated, art style. This style is carried throughout the entire deck, front and back, and also on the tuck.

Typical to a standard Joker and the Thief deck of cards, the back design is one-way, but subtly so. It's covered with happy, and sad, faces -- just like the back of the tuck -- and perhaps it's just my impression, but the noses of the faces are both a J, and a T. Hmm...

Printed on a fantastic handling, and quite durable, Crushed Performance stock with that fancy Linen-Glide finish, this deck is ready to go right out of the box!

The deck consists of 56 cards:

  • 52 playing cards
  • Two non-identical jokers; one happy, one sad
  • Two ad cards

Where to buy?

Last I checked, you should be able to pick up Happy Sad Playing Cards at Joker and the Thief. The last price tag I saw for this deck was set at $5.97.
